Peroxide, Perborates and Ammonia are known as bleaching chemicals. These bleaching chemicals will trigger hair fall and increase grey hairs. NILINI contains para phenylene diamine. Total Aryalamine content is less than 1.5% after dilution with water. If you are someone with normal skintype , then this is the best hair colour available in the market. If you have sensitive or allergy skin, then we don’t recommend this product.

I AM USING NILINI BLACK HAIR COLOUR AT THE MOMENT. WILL THE DARK BROWN WORK ON MY HAIR?

Yes. Both variants colour grey hair only — your existing black hair stays unchanged. Initially the difference may be subtle, but within 2–3 applications the grey strands will take on a distinct rich dark brown shade.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN NILINI BLACK AND DARK BROWN HAIR COLOUR?

The herb combinations and resulting shades differ. Both are single-step Ayurvedic colours free from ammonia, peroxide and perborates. Nilini Black colours grey to natural black; Nilini Dark Brown colours grey to darkest brown. Natural black hair remains unchanged with both variants.

Not recommended. The two formulas use different Ayurvedic herb combinations optimised for separate shades. Blending may produce unpredictable colour results. Use each variant individually as directed.

No. Nilini Dark Brown is formulated to colour grey (unpigmented) hair only. It will not lighten or highlight naturally black hair, as those strands already contain their own pigment.

WHEN CAN I SHAMPOO MY HAIR AFTER APPLYING NILINI?

Wash your hair with a gentle shampoo the day before colouring and ensure hair is dry and oil-free. After rinsing off the colour, wait at least 24 hours before shampooing to allow the dark brown pigment to fully set.

I HAVE AN ALLERGIC SKIN AND I AM ALLERGIC TO HAIRCOLORS IN GENERAL. CAN I USE NILINI?

Nilini is not suitable for allergic or sensitive skin or those who are allergic to PPD. A patch test is mandatory for every user. Apply a small quantity on the back of your ear, wash off after 1 hour, observe for 48 hours. If any reaction occurs, do not use the product. 

I AM ALLERGIC TO HENNA. CAN I USE NILINI?

No. Nilini contains henna as one of its ingredients. If you are allergic to henna, do not use this product.

CAN I MIX NILINI AND LEAVE IT OVERNIGHT IN AN IRON VESSEL LIKE I GENERALLY MIX HENNA ?

Not recommended. Use within 3 hours of mixing. Nilini contains no stabilisers and loses efficacy when exposed to open air overnight. It is a multi-herb Ayurvedic blend, not just henna.

IT SAYS, TO USE WITHIN 3 HOURS IF MIXED, WHY SO ?

Nilini contains no synthetic stabilisers. When mixed and exposed to air, the Ayurvedic herbal potency diminishes. Use within 3 hours for the best dark brown hair color result.

IS IT COMPLETELY NATURAL? IF SO, WHY CAN'T I STORE THE REST OF THE SACHET IN A CONTAINER AND KEEP FOR FUTURE USE?

Hard water, frequent strong-shampoo washing, and skipping the 24-hour post-colour window are common causes. Use a sulphate-free shampoo and rinse with plain water on the first day to extend the dark brown colour life.

No. Nilini should only be used from 18 years of age. Not recommended for anyone under 18.
