Shesha Ayurveda Kumkumadi Thailam is an ayurvedic oil that produces both cosmetic and therapeutic effects on the skin. This oil is one of the products that could be used for all skin types and is very well known for its action as a natural skin illuminator. The name Kumkumadi is obtained from one of its main ingredients saffron which is known as kumkuma in Sanskrit. Saffron (Kumkuma) - The main ingredient of this herbal formulation is saffron, which is involved in skin lightening and also illuminates the skin. It has both antibacterial and antioxidant properties which help to overcome the Pitta and Vata doshas.
Turmeric (Daruharidra) - This possesses both anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties which are involved in treating various skin infections.
Indian Lotus (Padmaka) – The lotus extract is obtained and could be used to treat the pain and inflammation occurring in the skin.
Lotus Stamen (Padmakesara) – This helps in hydrating the skin and works as a natural conditioner. It also prevents the dryness of the skin and also removes acne.

Way to use Kumkumadi Thailam
This oil is applicable for all types of skin and for oily skin they are applied in a small amount to prevent a greasy appearance. The steps involved to use this oil- Cleansing the face properly
- Washing with mild face wash
- Apply a few drops of Shesha Ayurveda Kumkumadi Thailam in the face, neck, and affected areas.
- Massage for about 5-10 minutes evenly in circular movements
- Allow it to remain for about 2-3 hrs
It should be noted that for oily skin, it has to be washed after 3hrs to avoid a greasy appearance. But for dry skin, it could be kept overnight.
