What you get in the market today, the yellow color powder one is not actual Kasturi manjal but powdered "Curcuma zedoaria" commonly named "Manja koova" in malayalam. It is a fake genotype belonging to the same Curcuma family. You can quickly identify the original one from its fake counterpart by its characteristic smell. Also, the original one is not actually bright yellow when powdered, the one you often see, but is white. It does not stain your skin.

How to use
