Ocimum sanctum (tulsi)
A plant that’s found in most indian households, tulsi makes the most organic solution for skin problems. It is endowed with antiseptic and purifying qualities that prevent acne, lighten scars, thwart blackheads, add glow to the face, heal inflammation, tighten pores and treat skin diseases, wounds, cuts and burns.
Nigella sativa (black cumin seeds)
As an anti-parasitic ingredient, black cumin seeds are used to cure skin conditions such as allergies, eczema, acne, psoriasis and boils. It replenishes the skin’s texture as they are highly rich in essential fatty acids like linoleic and linolenic acids which are essential as they are not produced by the body.
Punica granatum (pomegranate)
The pomegranate has long been touted for its high levels of vitamin c and antioxidants. Pomegranate extracts exert their positive effects by extending the life of fibroblasts, the cells responsible for producing collagen and elastin, the components that give strength and support to the skin. It’s also been shown to provide uva- and uvb-induced damage control, skin regeneration and hyper-pigmentation control.
Azadirachta indica (neem)
Azadirachta indica, also known as the neem tree is famous for its medicinal qualities. It’s anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal and antioxidant properties contribute to its supreme healing abilities of nearly any skin issue. The oil helps keep skin elasticity intact; its seeds and leaves cure even those chronic skin conditions that conventional treatments fail to treat.
Jasminum officinale (jasmin)
Jasminum grandiflorum, also known as the spanish jasmine, (chambeli in urdu) is a species well-known for its strong, exotic scented white flowers. While the leaves work like magic on skin diseases like psoriasis, swelling and corns on the feet, the flowers are used to treat skin dryness and promote glowing skin.
Cassia fistula (amaltas)
Cassia fistula contains catechins/polyphenols that work deeply into the skin layers to address hyper pigmentation and reverse the damage caused by uva and uvb exposure. Cassia fistula extracts help decrease the melanin in heavily blemished skin. It contains powerful anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-inflammatory properties and is an effective treatment for acne-prone and blemish-prone skin.
Aloe vera has been touted by many as their go-to moisturizer. Regular application of aloe vera reduces signs of aging, fights acne, lightens blemishes, reduces stretch marks, calms sunburns and reduces tan. It is also used to treat external wounds and insect bites. The gel that is found on the inside of this plant is cooling and soothing effect.
Cedrus deadara (devatharam)
Devatharam, himalayan species, helps reduce inflammation and treats skin disorders associated with pain and itching. It also helps in cleansing infected wounds.
Olive oil is rich in vitamins, minerals and natural fatty acids. Being an influential element for anti-aging skin care products; rich in antioxidants, it prevents skin aging, the onset of wrinkles and fine lines; it also nourishes, rejuvenates and guards the skin.
Just one word to describe this product...! AMAZING....!!!!!! Well me being a combination skin beauty, the skin on my body is little towards the dry end. I have been using olive oil on the dry areas of my body over the years. So just thought of trying this product as it claims to be a soap made from olive oil. Without a second thought, I grabbed this one. The moment I opened the outer packaging of the soap, I could literally smell the beautiful therapeutic aroma (well the outer cardboard I kept in-between my clothes so that they too smell heaven). The soap lathers pretty well spread the aroma in the entire bathroom (post-shower too). The smell lingers for quite a time after the shower. I was always a shower gel person, now I found Shesha soaps there is no turning back to shower gels anymore. No matter how humid the weather is, this soap awakens my senses and keeps me fresh all day long.
This soap is a boon for people with dry skin. Even during winters this soap did not dry out my skin. I used to use the Devathali soap earlier but I found that to be a bit drying so then I switched to this one. My husband has oily/normal skin so Devathali soap suits him better. We simply love these soaps, I just wish they would let us purchase more than one bar at a time.
