Looking for Natural Hair Color?

Looking for natural hair color

Hair coloring is the trend of the time. Earlier people used to color their hair to hide their greys. People love to color their hair in different colors, but the harsh chemicals strip off the natural oils resulting in dry hair. And the better option is to rely on natural hair colors to flaunt them.

Likewise, greying is a natural process of aging. As we age the hair follicles lose their melanin pigment resulting in greys. However, in today’s world, lack of proper nutrition and lifestyle changes has resulted in many health impacts, grey hairs being one of them. And when the hair starts to grey what many people tend to do is turn over to the conventional hair dyes available in the market or get their hair dyed from the salon. However, these conventional hair dyes are loaded with chemicals damaging both hair and the scalp. Many people develop allergies to those chemical dyes too.

A better option is to rely on natural hair colors, which can be with ingredients available at home, or an ayurvedic hair dye like Shesha’s.

Henna

Henna is one natural coloring agent highly sought after. Henna was used from time immemorial to color the hair. It imparts a reddish-brown tint to your hair. It also makes the hair soft and also helps fight dandruff.
Henna is now available in the form of powder but if you can get hold of fresh leaves it is better. The natural hair color imparted by henna persists for around 4 to 6 weeks.

Mix henna powder along with water and leave it overnight. Apply it to your hair and leave it for around an hour or two. Rinse off.

Coffee

Coffee is another home staple that imparts a natural color to the hair. It not colors the hair but also masks grey hairs. Brew a strong cup of coffee and mix it with your conditioner. Apply this to damp hair and wait for an hour. Rinse off.

Beetroot juice

Beetroot juice is a natural hair colorant that imparts a deeper red tone to your hair. Take the juice of beetroot and mix it with a carrier oil like coconut oil. Apply onto your hair, wait for an hour and rinse off.

Tea

Tea similar to coffee can be used as a natural hair color. Steep tea and apply it to your hair. Rinse off later. This will provide a dark brownish tint and help cover your greys.

Indigo powder

The present-day hype, indigo powder, was well known and is mostly used in combination with henna. Indigo powder is made from the leaves of the indigo plant. It dyes the hair in a dark blue shade and is hence mostly used after applying henna. If you wish to impart the blue color to your, you can use it as such.

The above-mentioned are natural ingredients that not only color the hair but also adds strength, shine, and bounce to your tresses. To cover your greys, if you need them, you can opt for ayurvedic hair dyes like Nilini Ayurvedic Hair Color Kit from Shesha Ayurveda. It is made from natural products like Blue Indigo flower powder, Neer Brahmi, Aloe Vera, Amla, Coconut shell powder, Henna leaves, Curry leaves, Hibiscus leaves.
